Production Meetings

Today in our production meeting we finally drafted up an idea of what genre we were going to base our film on. We decided that we would aim to produce a 'Comedy Drama' film that would also have elements of coming of age and with an 'arthouse' style. However we decided to add a twist to the film wherein our protagonist will have on a mask and thus remain anonymous throughout the film. We also decided that the target audience of our film would be for people aged 15.

Eventually after debating the idea we decided that we wanted our protagonist to be a female teenager and we then began to decide what sort of events we would want to unfold within the short film to reveal her coming of age. One of the key ideas we had would be that she would be rebellious and unappreciative of her mother which is a common stereotype of teenagers in modern society, but to have some characteristics that aren't necessarily stereotypical, the main one being her quirkiness, which we felt would be easily represented through the usage of the mask.
